Great Hips, Great Abs

[dropcap1]I[/dropcap1]f you are struggling with a tight lower back or have weak hips and weak lower abdominals, this exercise may just be the thing to add to your home Pilates workouts. Taken from the Pilates 32 low level series; Injury and Pain Free Back, I take the one leg stretch through two of its lowest levels. Once you master this there are plenty of more progressions to take it through. A great exercise for strengthening the core, the lumbar region and the abdominals. The one leg stretch will also help stretch the gluteals and the hip flexors. Remember to warm-up and prepare before starting any Pilates workout.
